These definitions are all from my new-found friend, "Dictionary.com" :-) I absolutely love having a precise definition of things, even if I already know what they mean in general or within a specific context. Yes, I was the nerd who, growing up, actually read the dictionary for fun. And I still like it. Yes, I'm a major nerd. ;-) In particular, though, I wanted to have a concise understanding of the following words: Submit, obey, completely, authority, slave / bond servant, subject, and subordinate. This word study, I think, will help me keep a proper perspective towards the highest of wifely ideals.
Submit --
* To yield or surrender (oneself) to the will or authority of another.
* To give in to the authority, power, or desires of another. See Synonyms at yield.
* Middle English submitten, from Latin submittere, to set under.
* To yield, resign, or surrender to power, will, or authority; -- often with the reflexive pronoun.
* To yield one's person to the power of another; to give up resistance; to surrender.
* To be submissive or resigned; to yield without murmuring.
* To yield one's opinion to the opinion of authority of another; to be subject; to acquiesce.
* To thy husband's will Thine shall submit. --Milton. (Wow, Milton was a great guy! lol)
Obey --
* To comply with or follow the commands, restrictions, wishes, or instructions of.
* To comply with or follow (a command, restriction, wish, instruction, etc.).
* To carry out or fulfill the command, order, or instruction of.
* To give ear to; to execute the commands of; to yield submission to; to comply with the orders of.
* To submit to the authority of; to be ruled by.

Completely / Complete
* Lacking nothing; whole; entire; full
* Thorough; entire; total; undivided, uncompromised, or unmodified
* To a complete degree or to the full or entire extent.
Authority
* The power to determine, adjudicate, or otherwise settle issues or disputes; jurisdiction; the right to control, command, or determine.
* The power to enforce laws, exact obedience, command, determine, or judge.
Slave / Bond Servant
* A person who is the property of and wholly subject to another; a bond servant.
* One bound in servitude as the property of a person or household.
* One who is abjectly subservient to a specified person or influence.
* One who is wholly subject to the will of another.
* Bond servant; bondman; bond slave; captive; vassal; dependent; serf.
Subject (as in, subjected to)
* A person who is under the dominion or rule of a sovereign.
* Being under domination, control, or influence
* Being in a position or in circumstances that place one under the power or authority of another or others.
* To submit to the authority of.
* Obedient; submissive.
Subordinate --
* Placed in or belonging to a lower order or rank.
* Subject to or under the authority of a superior.
* Subject or submissive to authority or the control of another.
* To make subordinate, dependent, or subservient.

Hey! You said you were not going to use terms of verbal negativity. I think the word 'nerd' has negative connotations. It's okay to be smart and interested in words. I like words too. You website is beautiful. Nerd is the last word I would think of for what I have read so far.
