Spring Cleaning--
The doldrums of winter are over and springtime is peeking out with its glorious rays of warmth and light! Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, and the days are getting blessedly longer! It's time to clear away the clutter and dust of winter... time for some Spring Cleaning!
Spring Cleaning is, of course, both literal in the sense of cleaning one's home... as well as allegorical, e.g., in the disciplinary realm. For the former, especially with a possible move ahead, it's time to go through clothes and other accumulated belongings and see what is trash and what is treasure. Then, on to the 'fun' of really delving into the deep cleaning of my home! Okay, so it's not exactly fun, but it has to be done, and sometimes we have to do what doesn't come most happily for us. However, the task can be made sweeter through submission-- and by turning on music and be-bopping to it! ;-)
As for the latter-- the disciplinary "Spring Cleaning"-- it's time to take an honest look at behaviours over the past months in new light, praising the good ones and weeding out the negative ones , and then continue on a more virtuous and submissive path. I know that my personal faults of late have been being occasionally "snippy" in nature towards my Husband and in being neglectful in specific requests. Although these are not every day occurances, even one instance of such behaviour is too often. I love my Husband, and he deserves my utmost respect, both because of his position as my Husband and because of the fact that I adore him so much.
Why is it that those whom we profess to love the most often bear the brunt of our more "colourful" nature, when we woudln't even think of doing the same to a mere stranger on the streets?
In any case, I will see what my Beloved has to say about this (e.g., the syllabus for this week) and follow his direction. Per his request, I will also be sharing the outcome. :)
Other HOHs, how would you handle snippy behaviour from your woman? And also, what correction would you give for instances of neglect towards specific requests?
Again, may you all have a most Blessed Easter Sunday!

In response to how would you handle snippy behavior or neglect of request - I am an HOH, I have a wonderful wife and we have a happy marriage. First I need to say that every person and relationship is different so there are no guarantees about what works or doesn't work.

Mark-- Sir, I am glad to hear that you have a wonderful dd marriage, and I truly wish you and your wife every happiness therein. Thank you also for contributing to the post. Your choice of punishment for your wife is, of course, your decision and I would not presume to question it. It might seem a little 'different' to me (not bad, just something to consider), but having said that, the practices within my own marriage may seem that way to others. I think it's best not to judge other people, but realise that DD is a personal and customisable journey for every couple.

I am the wife of Mark, I wanted to post earlier but Marks business had a sudden rush and he needed my help. Normally I do not work outside the home.
